Shakti Pumps secures major contracts for Solar Water Pumps in Uttar Pradesh

Shakti Pumps has secured a letter of intent (LoI) from the Uttar Pradesh State Department of Agriculture to supply 12,537 solar water pumps under Component B of the PM-KUSUM scheme (Phase-III). Valued at approximately Rs 5.58 billion, the project involves the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar water pumping systems across the state, with completion expected within 120 days of receiving the letters of proceeding, due by March 31, 2025.

In October 2023, Shakti Pumps also secured an order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for 50,000 off-grid solar photovoltaic pumps under Component B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme, Phase III. This Rs 16.03 billion project, including GST, will see the pumps installed across Maharashtra within 24 months.

Additionally, Shakti Pumps obtained a Rs 1.49 billion order from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited under Component C of PM-KUSUM. In September 2023, the company announced an order from the Haryana Renewable Energy Department Agency for 7,781 pumps under PM-KUSUM.
