Karnataka Transfers 6 Officers; Nagaraja N.M. Gets Social Welfare Charge

The Karnataka government has reshuffled the responsibilities of six officers, including five IAS officers and one IPS officer, assigning them new roles across key departments and at Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi.


The latest changes cover areas such as social welfare, public libraries, MSME and industry, district administration and state representation in the national capital.

Akriti Bansal Appointed CEO of Chamarajanagar Zilla Panchayat

Akriti Bansal, a 2018-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from her position as Additional Commissioner, Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi.


She has now been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chamarajanagar Zilla Panchayat, taking on a key role in district-level administration and development.

Sushma Godbole Gets Public Library Department


Sushma Godbole, a 2008-batch IAS officer, has taken charge as Commissioner, Public Library Department, Bengaluru.

The assignment places her at the helm of the department responsible for overseeing the state’s public library administration and related services.

Nagaraja N.M. Gets Social Welfare Charge

Nagaraja N.M., a 2016-batch IAS officer, has been moved from his previous assignment as Ombudsman (Lokpalakar), Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, Bengaluru.

He has now assumed charge as Commissioner, Social Welfare Department, where he will oversee the department’s administrative and welfare-related responsibilities.

Vasant Kumar Appointed MSME Director

Vasant Kumar, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has also been given a new responsibility.

He has been transferred from his position as Additional Secretary to Government, Food Processing and Harvesting Technology, Department of Agriculture, Bengaluru.

He has now been appointed Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Directorate and Department of Commerce and Industry, Bengaluru.

IPS Officer Ananya Srivastava Posted to Karnataka Bhavan

The reshuffle also includes Ananya Srivastava, a 2024-batch IPS officer.

She has been moved from her position as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Hubballi Rural Sub-Division, Dharwad district, and posted to Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi.

Reshuffle Covers Key Administrative Areas

The latest postings bring changes across several important areas of Karnataka’s administration, including district governance, social welfare, public library services, MSME development and industrial administration.
