The Chhattisgarh government has ordered a major police reshuffle involving 18 IPS officers from the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 batches, bringing changes to specialised investigation units, district operations and city policing.

The orders, issued on October 9, 2026, include the appointment of Jha Amankumar Ramankumar as Superintendent of Police (SP), State Investigation Agency (SIA), at Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Nava Raipur. Several officers have also been moved from operational assignments to specialised units, while others have received new responsibilities in districts across the state.
2021-Batch Officers Shifted to Key Positions
Several officers from the 2021 batch have been assigned new responsibilities at Police Headquarters and in district operations.

Jha Amankumar Ramankumar (IPS: 2021: CG) has been transferred from Additional SP (Operations), Bijapur, and appointed SP (SIA), PHQ, Nava Raipur.
Ajay Kumar (IPS: 2021: CG), formerly Additional SP (Operations), Narayanpur, has been posted as SP (SIB), Nava Raipur.

The reshuffle also changes the responsibilities of seven officers from the 2022 batch, with several moving into operational roles in districts.
Ishu Agrawal (IPS: 2022: CG) has been transferred from Assistant Commissioner of Police, Azad Chowk, Raipur Urban, and posted as Additional SP (Operations), Narayanpur.

The government has also assigned new postings to officers from the 2023 and 2024 batches.
Sakore Manasi Nanabhau (IPS: 2023: CG) has been appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police, Azad Chowk, Raipur Urban, after serving on probation in Raipur.
Two officers from the 2024 batch have also received city-level assignments:

A notable feature of the reshuffle is the movement of officers into specialised units at Police Headquarters. The appointments cover the State Investigation Agency (SIA), State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), Crime Investigation Department (CID) and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF).
At the district level, new operational assignments have been made in Bijapur, Narayanpur, Sukma, Kanker, Kondagaon and Jagdalpur, among other locations.
The orders also redistribute responsibilities in urban policing, with several officers taking charge of city-level assignments. Overall, the reshuffle combines specialised-unit appointments with district operational postings and changes in city police leadership across Chhattisgarh.
