Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has appointed Tarak Nath Nayak, General Manager (Engineering Services), as Unit Head of the Taloja Copper Project and Gujarat Copper Project, effective October 9, 2026.

The state-owned copper producer disclosed the management change to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The announcement follows the company’s earlier communication dated September 26, 2026.
Tarak Nath Nayak Takes Charge of Both Projects
Nayak, who was serving as General Manager (Engineering Services), has assumed responsibility for overseeing both projects in his new capacity as Unit Head.

Hindustan Copper confirmed the effective date of his appointment and submitted a copy of his joining report as part of its regulatory disclosure.
Company Clarifies No Relationship with Directors

As part of the disclosure, Hindustan Copper clarified that Nayak is not related to any director or Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company, or to their relatives.
The clarification was provided in line with the applicable disclosure requirements for listed companies, ensuring transparency regarding the management change.
Leadership Responsibilities Across Copper Projects
Nayak’s appointment places the Taloja and Gujarat Copper projects under a common unit-level leadership arrangement. He will hold these responsibilities alongside his professional experience in engineering services.
The company has formally documented the change through its stock exchange filing and the submission of his joining report.
