Following the transfer of 17 IPS officers the previous day, the Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday transferred 10 additional Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and elevated seven additional deputy commissioners of police (ADCPs) to the rank of deputy commissioner of police (DCP).

Notable changes include:

• Pratap Gopendra Yadav, previously Commandant of the 4th Battalion PAC in Prayagraj, has been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Moradabad Police Training Centre (PTC).
• Awadhesh Singh, SP Railway Gorakhpur, has now been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Organisation as SP.
• Manish Kumar Shandilya, ADCP Varanasi, will take over as Commandant of the 4th Battalion PAC.
• Rahul Bhati, ASP (City) Bareilly, has been named the new Commandant of the UP Special Security Force (UPSSF) in Lucknow.
• Anil Kumar Yadav, ADCP Gautambuddhnagar, will step into the role of DCP in Lucknow following his promotion.
• Meanwhile, Sandeep K, ASP (Rural) Moradabad, will also see a change in role as part of the broader reshuffle.

Earlier the state government on Tuesday transferred 17 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various districts. The key appointments are as follows:

IPS Shalabh Mathur (2006 batch) has been appointed as Inspector General (IG), Establishment Headquarters at the Director General of Police (DGP) office, Lucknow. IPS Prabhakar Chaudhary (2010 batch) moves to the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police in Aligarh, previously serving at DGP Headquarters in Lucknow.

IPS Sudha Singh (2006 batch) has taken charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Jhansi, while IPS Rajesh S., formerly the SSP in Jhansi, has been transferred as Superintendent of Police (SP) to Shahjahanpur. IPS Yashvir Singh is now SP of Rae Bareli, and IPS Ashok Kumar Meena has been appointed SP of Sonbhadra. IPS Krishna Kumar will serve as SP of Sambhal, with IPS Abhijit R Shankar assuming duties as SP of Auraiya. Additionally, IPS Palash Bansal has been assigned as the SP of Mahoba.

In other significant postings, IPS Siddharth Shankar Meena, formerly SP of Unnao, is now Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Prayagraj Police Commissionerate. IPS Charu Nigam has been named Commandant of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in Ghaziabad. IPS Aparna Gupta, previously SP of Mahoba, has been posted as DCP in Lucknow Commissionerate, while IPS Abhishek Kumar Agarwal has taken over as DCP in Agra Police Commissionerate. IPS Kuldeep Singh has also been assigned to Prayagraj as DCP.

Among the new postings, IPS Abhinav Tyagi (2019 batch) will serve as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Gorakhpur City, and IPS Amrit Jain (2021 batch) will take charge as ASP in Aligarh Rural.
