India Malaysia Sign MoU for Renewable Energy

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in New Delhi Wednesday by India’s Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Peter Chin Fah Kui, Malaysian minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water.

Both countries agreed to cooperate in renewable energy, especially in biomass, hydropower, solar and wind power, an official said Thursday.

Both countries also agreed to form a Joint Working Group for joint research, exchange and training of scientific and technical personnel, exchange of available scientific and technologies information and transfer of know-how, technology and equipment on a non-commercial basis.
