The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has approved a three-month extension of the additional charge of Director (Commercial) at Engineers India Limited (EIL) for Atul Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
Extension From September 30
According to an EIL regulatory filing, Gupta will continue to hold the additional responsibility from September 30 for three months. The arrangement will remain in place until a regular appointment is made or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Gupta’s Role at EIL
Gupta is currently serving as Chairman and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited. During his tenure as Director (Commercial), he has been associated with efforts to strengthen the company’s order book and expand its presence in international and domestic markets.
Focus on Business Diversification
Under his leadership, EIL has also explored opportunities in infrastructure and emerging sectors, while promoting technology-driven and sustainable solutions.
His work has further supported efforts towards indigenisation and self-reliance, in line with the Government’s Make in India objectives.
