The Himachal Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and posting 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers along with 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers. The latest changes span several key departments, including finance, cooperation, town and country planning, industries, land records, power, district administration, and municipal governance.

The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring effective governance across the state.
Abhishek Jain Given Additional Charge as Financial Commissioner (Appeals)

One of the key appointments in the reshuffle is that of Abhishek Jain (IAS: 2002). Currently serving as Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) and Principal Secretary (Finance and Planning), he has now been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Financial Commissioner (Appeals).

The new assignment places him in an important position overseeing appellate matters while continuing his existing responsibilities.
Sudesh Mokta Appointed Secretary (Cooperation)

Sudesh Mokta (IAS: 2010), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary, Cooperation Department.
Meanwhile, Amarjeet Singh (IAS: 2010), who was serving as Secretary (Cooperation), will continue in his existing roles as Secretary, Town and Country Planning, and Secretary, Home Department.
Changes in Land Records, Industries and Milkfed
The government has also made significant changes in departments linked to industries and land administration.
Torul S. Raveesh (IAS: 2016), who was serving as Managing Director of the State Industrial Development Corporation Limited and General Industries Corporation, has been transferred as Director, Land Records.
Replacing him in another key assignment, Abhishek Verma (IAS: 2018), who was serving as Director, Land Records, has been appointed Managing Director, HP Milkfed.

Fresh Appointments in Medical Services and Power Sector
Ajay Kumar Yadav (IAS: 2018) has been posted as Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation.
In another important appointment, Mahendra Pal Gurjar (IAS: 2018), who was serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Una, has been appointed Director (Personnel and Finance), Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation.
District Administration Sees Multiple Changes
The reshuffle includes several changes at the district administration level.
- Rahul Jain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Solan, has been posted as Managing Director, Mahila Vikas Nigam, Solan. He will also hold the additional charge of Registrar, Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan.
- Dinyanshu Singh (IAS: 2020), Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, has been appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner, Solan.
He has been replaced by Om Kant Sharma (IAS: 2020), who moves from the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bilaspur, to become Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation.
Young IAS Officers Receive New Responsibilities
Several young IAS officers have been assigned new roles across the state.
- Gursimar Singh (IAS: 2021), who was serving as SDM, Mandi, has been appointed Managing Director, General Industries Corporation (GIC).
- Ishant Jaswal (IAS: 2021), SDM, Kangra, has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Una.
- Rupinder Kaur (IAS: 2021), SDM, Mandi, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bilaspur.
- Rajdeep Singh (IAS: 2021), SDM, Bilaspur, has been appointed Municipal Commissioner, Solan.
- Priyanshu Khati (IAS: 2020), SDM, Chamba, has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mandi.
New SDMs Appointed
The government has also appointed new Sub-Divisional Magistrates.
- Anjali Garg (IAS: 2023), Assistant Commissioner, Sirmaur, has been posted as SDM, Kangra.
- Chandra Prakash (IAS: 2023), Assistant Commissioner-cum-Block Development Officer, Bhawarna (Kangra), has been appointed SDM, Mandi.

HAS Officers Also Transferred
Apart from the IAS reshuffle, the state government has also transferred 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers as part of the latest administrative exercise. The changes are intended to improve coordination and strengthen governance across departments and district administrations.
