Abhishek Singh Appointed Director General, National Testing Agency

The ACC has appointed Abhishek Singh, a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Nagaland cadre, as Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Education.


Singh is currently serving as Director General at the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. With a strong background in digital governance and IT systems, he has contributed significantly to e-governance initiatives, digital infrastructure development, and the implementation of large-scale technology platforms. He has also held key administrative roles in the government, gaining experience in policy execution and public service delivery.

His appointment comes at a critical time when the NTA is focusing on enhancing transparency, efficiency, and technological robustness in conducting national-level examinations.

With his experience in managing large-scale digital systems, Singh is expected to strengthen the technological backbone of examination processes, improve candidate experience, and ensure greater reliability and credibility in assessments across India.
