The Punjab government on Monday carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.
As part of the changes, IAS Sonali Giri (2009 batch) has been appointed as Additional Administrative Secretary, School Education, and Additional Administrative Secretary, Higher Education and Languages.
Despite the new assignment, Giri will continue to hold her existing responsibilities as:

Annindita Mitra Appointed Punjab Chief Electoral Officer
In another important appointment, IAS Annindita Mitra (2007 batch) has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab and Administrative Secretary, Elections.

The third appointment in the reshuffle involves IAS Girish Dayalan (2011 batch), who has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB).
