The Punjab government has transferred three divisional commissioners and reassigned eight senior officers, including seven IAS and one PCS, in a move aimed at improving governance and strengthening administrative efficiency.

Three Divisions Get New Commissioners
The most notable changes include new leadership across three major divisions. In Ropar, Manvesh Singh Sidhu has replaced outgoing Divisional Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra. Faridkot has appointed Arun Sekhri as its new Divisional Commissioner, while Manjit Singh Brar has been shifted from the post. In Jalandhar, the charge has been transferred from Arun Sekhri to Ramvir, marking another key shift in the administrative setup.

Top-Level Administrative Changes Announced
At the higher bureaucratic level, Tejveer Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Local Government), has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary (Technical Education), following his recent NOC for a Central Government assignment. Manjit Singh Brar will now serve as Administrative Secretary (Local Government), replacing him.

Officers Assigned Additional Responsibilities
The reshuffle also includes additional charges for several officers. Rubinderjit Singh Brar has been given the role of Additional Secretary, NRI Affairs; Sonam will take on the additional charge of Joint Commissioner, Patiala Municipal Corporation; and Jagdeep Saigal has been assigned the additional role of Additional Managing Director, PSIEC.
