In a key development, the Central IAS Association concluded its latest round of elections with the announcement of a new 18-member Executive Committee. S Krishnan (IAS: 1989: TN), Union Secretary for Electronics & IT, has been elected as the new President of the association, continuing the tradition of appointing the seniormost Union Secretary, barring the Cabinet Secretary, to the role.
Taranikanti Sriram (IAS: 1992: TR), Director of LBSNAA, and A Anbarasu (IAS: 1996: UT), Principal Secretary (Home), Delhi Government, have been elected as Vice Presidents. Kunal (IAS: 2005: UT), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Sports, and Aditi Singh (IAS: 2009: UP), Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development, will serve as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
The election results were formalised during the General Body Meeting held in New Delhi on July 26, 2025. The association, which serves as a collective voice for IAS officers across batches and cadres, plays a pivotal role in representing officers’ welfare, promoting professional development, and fostering internal dialogue.
The newly constituted Executive Committee also includes Chinmay Gotmare (IAS: 2009: AM) and Shelesh Nawal (IAS: 2010: MH) as Joint Secretaries, and retired members Sanjay Bandhopadhyaya (IAS: 1988: MP) and Sanjay Bhoosreddy (IAS: 1989: UP).

Other members include D Thara (GJ: 1995), Rahul Singh (BH: 1996), Prasanna R (CG: 2004), Nitin Khade (AM: 2004), Dinesh Kumar (NL: 2004), Rohan Chand Thakur (HP: 2009), Manasi Sahay Thakur (HP: 2009), Shah Faesal (UT: 2010), and Naveen Aggarwal (UT: 2013).
Krishnan’s leadership, along with the diverse experience of the newly elected team, is expected to provide momentum to the association’s evolving agenda, including engagement in cadre policy, institutional collaboration, and welfare measures.
