Rajesh Kumar Agarwal Takes Charge as Director at Power Finance Corporation

Rajesh Kumar Agarwal has taken charge as Director at Power Finance Corporation, a Maharatna public sector enterprise and one of India’s leading infrastructure finance companies in the power sector.


PFC operates under the Ministry of Power and plays a crucial role in financing projects across power generation, transmission, distribution and renewable energy. It is also a key implementing agency for several government schemes aimed at strengthening power infrastructure.

Agarwal brings significant experience in finance and the power sector, with a track record of handling large-scale infrastructure funding and project appraisal. His expertise is expected to support PFC’s expanding portfolio, particularly in renewable energy and distribution reforms.


In his new role, he will contribute to strategic decision-making and help strengthen PFC’s position in financing India’s energy transition. The appointment comes as the sector continues to see increased investment in clean and sustainable power projects.
