Vivek Chandra Verma has assumed additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India with immediate effect, according to an official announcement.
A 1991-batch Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officer, Verma has held several senior administrative positions in the Government of India. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the parent ministry overseeing UIDAI.
