In a fresh bureaucratic transfer in the state, the Bihar government has reshuffled six IAS officers, including the current District Magistrate of Patna, Shirsat Kapil Ashok. In a move issued by the General Administration Department, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has been reinstated as the DM of Patna.
Shirsat Kapil Ashok will assume the role of Managing Director at the Bihar State Road Construction Corporation while holding the additional charge of Special Secretary. Aditya Prakash, formerly the MD of NBPDCL, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Health Department. Laxman Tiwari is now the OSD in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department.
Nilesh Ramchandra Devre has taken on the role of Managing Director at the North Bihar Power Distribution Company, alongside responsibilities as MD of Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) and Bihar State Transmission Company. Himanshu Sharma has been named the Chief Executive Officer of JEEVIKA.
Two weeks prior, the state government transferred 11 IAS officers, marking pivotal shifts in key departments. Notably, K K Pathak, known for his reforms in the education sector, has been reassigned amidst mixed reactions. Pathak, currently on leave, will become the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department while continuing as Director-General at the Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development.
S Siddharth, a 1991-batch IAS officer, will take over as ACS of the Education Department, replacing Pathak. Deepak Kumar Singh has moved from ACS in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department to a similar role in the Rural Works Department. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary transitions from the Finance Department to the Home Department as Principal Secretary.

Lokesh Kumar Singh, previously overseeing the Science, Technology, and Technical Education Department, will now serve as Secretary in the Finance Department. Pankaj Kumar Pal will transition from the Rural Works Department to Secretary in the Rural Development Department.
