In a major administrative reshuffle in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday transferred 5 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 11 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The District Magistrates (DM) of Kannauj and Chitrakoot have been transferred and kept on the waiting list. Abhishek Anand, the Municipal Commissioner of Bareilly, has been appointed as DM Chitrakoot whereas Subhrant Sukla has been appointed as DM Kannauj. Khempal Singh has replaced Jagadish as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). Nidhi Gupta Vatsa has been given charge of Municipal Commissioner Bareilly whereas Jaghdish has been appointed as Special Secretary, Excise Department.

According to the transfers list issued by the Yogi government, 11 IPS have also been transferred. B K Maurya has been given the charge of Director General (DG) Logistics, whereas Anupam Kulshreshta, who had recently returned from Central deputation, has been appointed as ADG Traffic. Rajesh Srivastava, Superintendent of Police(SP) Kannauj, has been transferred and kept on the waiting list. Mohit Agarwal has been made ADG Technical Services whereas Bhajni Ram Meena has been appointed as ADG Rules and Manual. Shafiq Ahmed has been transferred from the post of PTC Sitapur and kept on the waiting list. Radha Mohan Bhardawaj who was PTC Jalaun has been given charge of PAC Etawah. Himanshu kumar and Shalini have been made PAC Moradabad and PAC Ghaziabad respectively. SK Mathur, who was till now ADG Rules and Manual, has been made ADG human rights.
