Jharkhand Police


In order to reshuffle the police lineup of the state, the Government of Jharkhand has issued transfer and posting orders of six IPS officers across the state. Of the IPS offices shifted, four IPS officers have been promoted to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank.

1. Anish Gupta (IPS 2006-Batch) has been promoted and assigned the post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Ranchi.

2. Ajay Linda (IPS 2006-Batch) has been promoted and given the post of DIG, Kolhan, Chaibasa.

3. Deepak Kumar Sinha (IPS 2008-Batch) has been promoted to the post of DIG, Home Guard and Fire Services.

4. Shams Tabrez (IPS 2008-Batch) has been promoted and made DIG, Budget, Ranchi.

5. K Vijay Shankar (IPS 2018-Batch) will take over the post of Superintendent of Police (SP) City, Jamshedpur.

6. Mukesh Kumar Lunayat (IPS 2018-Batch) will assume the charge of SP Rural, Jamshedpur.
