Vijay Namdeorao Zade, an IAS officer of 2002-Batch, assumed the post of Secretary, Finance for the Union Territory of Chandigarh on May 20. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has given a green signal for the appointment of Zade as Finance Secretary of Chandigarh.
The MHA has approved the posting on inter-cadre deputation for a tenure of three years. Zade has taken over the charge from Ajoy Kumar Sinha (IAS 1996-Batch), the outgoing Secretary whose work period ended on August 31, 2020.
