Uttar Pradesh’s aided schools will be equipped with modern education system

Govt’s developed App will enable tracking and management of over 60,000 students and staff across 400+ aided schools

In a significant move towards modernising education, the Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh has embarked on an ambitious project to rejuvenate the state’s aided schools. The initiative aims to connect over 400 aided schools to a new online platform via a mobile app that integrates Aadhaar and other essential data.

Under the detailed action plan spearheaded by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Social Welfare Department has tasked the Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC) with developing the app. This app will feature geo-tagging, comprehensive data tracking for over 60,000 students and staff, and several modules for effective school management.

App Development and Implementation
The UPLC has begun the selection process for empanelled companies to develop the app through an e-tender. The selected agency will conduct a detailed project study based on departmental feedback. The app will gather crucial information from aided schools, including student and staff data, Aadhaar numbers, and school infrastructure details, to compile a System Requirements Specification (SRS).

Key Features of the App

The app will include:

  • Registration Modules: For students, staff, and school infrastructure.
  • Management Information System (MIS): To streamline data management.
  • Advanced Security Features: Including login and access controls, user role definitions, and permission settings.
  • Scalability and Analytics: To handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Hosting and Maintenance: With 16 GB RAM hosting, 1 TB storage, and annual maintenance plans.

Comprehensive Database and Training

The app will manage a vast database, tracking essential information for over 60,000 students and providing detailed records for staff and school infrastructure. Following the guidelines from the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), the implementing agency will also provide a three-day official training for staff to ensure smooth operation and management.

Moving Forward

Aligning with CM Yogi’s vision of educational development, the project promises to bring significant improvements in the management and operational efficiency of aided schools in Uttar Pradesh. The integration of modern technology into the education system marks a critical step towards enhancing the quality of education across the state.
