Saloma Yomdo set to Become Oil India Ltd’s new Director (Exploration & Development)

Saloma Yomdo is poised to take on the role of Director (Exploration & Development) at Oil India Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). His appointment follows a recommendation by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Yomdo currently serves as the Executive Director (Exploration & Development) at Oil India.


The PESB panel selected Yomdo from a competitive pool of 12 candidates during its meeting on May 20. The candidates included six from Oil India, two from GAIL India Limited, two from ONGC Videsh Limited, and one each from HPCL and ONGC.

In his new role, Yomdo will join the board of directors and report directly to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for formulating exploratory policies, setting budgets, and overseeing the company’s exploration and development programs.
