Ajmer IT Park

Ajmer: Rajasthan’s push towards digital and industrial growth is gaining pace as the upcoming IT Park in Ajmer witnesses strong interest from industry players. According to officials from the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), as many as 22 companies have already applied for plots in the IT Park, signalling growing confidence in the region’s emerging technology ecosystem.

The project is steadily progressing, with internal road construction largely completed, while essential infrastructure such as electricity and water supply is expected to be operational soon. Officials stated that the park is being developed not only as an IT destination but also as a broader industrial hub aimed at attracting investment and creating employment opportunities in the region.

Adding to the momentum, one company has already started operations at the site. RIICO has also sought nearly 114 hectares of land in Chachiyawas for the development of a new industrial area, proposed on the lines of Rajasthan’s established industrial model in Bhiwadi.

Devnani Reviews Project Progress

The developments were reviewed by Shri Vasudev Devnani, Speaker, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, during an inspection visit to the IT Park on Thursday. During the review, he emphasised that the project has the potential to open new avenues for employment, industrialisation, and digital innovation in Ajmer.

He assured that all development works are being executed on priority to ensure the project becomes operational at the earliest.

During the inspection, Devnani assessed the progress of road construction, land levelling, demarcation work, boundary wall development, power infrastructure, and other key facilities. He instructed RIICO officials to expedite pending civil works so that electricity and water infrastructure can be installed within the planned timelines.

Emphasis on Modern Infrastructure and Sustainability

Highlighting the need for long-term planning, the Speaker stressed the importance of quality infrastructure and sustainable development within the IT Park. He called for the creation of water harvesting systems, high-quality roads, and a modern “plug-and-play” ecosystem that can support multiple businesses within shared infrastructure.

He also suggested the development of multi-storey commercial spaces capable of housing several IT units, which could help attract startups, technology companies, and service providers. In addition, he underlined the importance of dedicated parking spaces, landscaped gardens, shopping facilities, and modern amenities to create a well-integrated business environment.

To strengthen digital connectivity, he directed officials to coordinate with telecom and network service providers for Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) infrastructure and related connectivity requirements.

Project Scope and Investment

According to RIICO officials, the Ajmer IT Park is being developed across an area of approximately 27.55 acres. Around 45,310 square metres of land has been earmarked for industrial and commercial allotment.

The state government has approved a financial outlay of nearly ₹23.65 crore for the project. The sanctioned amount includes expenditure on land compensation, land levelling, civil construction, surveys, demarcation, road infrastructure, electrical systems, street lighting, water harvesting mechanisms, and other essential development works.

Strategic Connectivity to Drive Investments

Officials highlighted the project’s strategic location as one of its major advantages. The IT Park is situated approximately one kilometre from the national highway and enjoys close proximity to Ajmer city. It is also located around 13 kilometres from Pushkar and nearly 20 kilometres from Kishangarh Airport, offering strong regional and interstate connectivity.

The combination of infrastructure readiness, connectivity, and growing industrial interest is expected to position Ajmer as an emerging destination for IT, digital services, and industrial investment in Rajasthan.
