The Jammu and Kashmir administration has carried out a fresh bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and posting several IAS and JKAS officers across important departments and district-level positions. The changes, made with immediate effect, are aimed at strengthening administrative functioning and improving coordination across key sectors.
The latest reshuffle impacts departments including Finance, Industries and Commerce, Information Technology, e-Governance and district administration.
Anil Banka Posted as Director Industries and Commerce, Kashmir
Among the key changes, Anil Banka, who was serving as Special Secretary in the Finance Department, has been transferred and appointed as Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir.
He will take charge from Khalid Majeed, who has been directed to await further posting orders from the General Administration Department.
The appointment places Banka in an important position linked to industrial growth and business development in the region.
Mahima Madan Gets District-Level Assignment
Mahima Madan, who was serving as Additional Secretary in the Information Technology Department and also holding additional responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of JaKeGA and Director, Defence Labour Procurement, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kathua.
She replaces Vishavjeet Singh, who has been asked to await further adjustment orders.
Her transfer marks a shift from technology and administrative responsibilities to district governance.
Asha Choudhary Malhotra Given Additional Responsibilities
Asha Choudhary Malhotra, who was awaiting posting orders in the General Administration Department, has now been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of JaKeGA.
She will also continue to hold an additional charge as Director, Defence Labour Procurement, Jammu and Kashmir, until further orders.
The appointment places her at the centre of key e-governance and administrative initiatives in the Union Territory.
Mohd Raiyaz Posted as SDM Karnah-Tangdhar
Mohd Raiyaz, previously serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah-Tangdhar.
He has been assigned the role against an available vacancy.
Administrative Focus on Governance and Coordination
Officials believe the latest reshuffle reflects the administration’s continued effort to strengthen governance and improve functioning across departments.
With officers being assigned responsibilities in sectors such as industry, technology, finance and district administration, the changes are expected to support better implementation of government initiatives and improve public service delivery across Jammu and Kashmir.
