The Maharashtra government has transferred 13 IAS officers in its latest transfer order, bringing significant changes to key administrative positions.
Senior IAS officer Pravin Darade has been appointed as the Principal Secretary in the Cooperation, Marketing, and Textile Department, while Pankaj Kumar (2002 batch) has been designated as the Secretary and Special Enquiry Officer (2) in the General Administration Department.
Among other crucial appointments, Nitin Patil (2007 batch), former Secretary of the State Human Rights Commission, has been reassigned as the Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship. His previous role will now be held by P.K. Dange.
In another key move, Shweta Singhal (2009 batch), previously serving as the Secretary to the Governor, has been appointed as the Amravati Divisional Commissioner, replacing Prashant Narnaware.
The reshuffle also sees Anil Bhandari, former Joint CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Mumbai, taking over as the Director of Information Technology. Meanwhile, S. Ramamoorthy, formerly the Secretary of the Fee Regulatory Authority, has been posted as the Deputy Secretary to the Governor.
Further changes include:
- Abhijit Raut, Nanded Collector, transferred as Joint Commissioner of State Tax.
- Rahul Kardile, Joint Managing Director of CIDCO, appointed as Collector of Nanded.
- Madhavi Sardeshmukh, CEO of Smart City Kalyan-Dombivli, reassigned as Director of Vocational Education and Training.
- Amit Ranjan, Assistant Collector of Charmoshi Sub Division, Gadchiroli, now serving as Project Officer of ITDP Pandharkawada and Assistant Collector of Kelapur Sub Division, Yavatmal.
