The Tamil Nadu government has transferred and posted 15 IPS officers, mainly from the 2023 and 2024 batches, across various districts and police subdivisions in the state.
The Home Department said the postings have been made with immediate effect, with most officers taking charge as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP).
Young IPS Officers Get Field Responsibilities
The reshuffle includes key postings across rural, urban and semi-urban areas.
Among the major assignments:
- Anjit A Nayar – ASP, Thoothukudi Rural
- P Ankita – ASP, Pattukottai Sub-Division, Thanjavur
- S Ashwani – ASP, Tiruchengode Sub-Division, Namakkal
- Biswajit Panda – ASP, Tirunelveli Rural
- Chathriya Kavin DJ – ASP, Chidambaram, Cuddalore
- S Inba – ASP, Thiruverumbur, Tiruchirapalli
- P Manjima – ASP, Dindigul Rural
- Mannam Sujith Sanpath – ASP, Rasipuram, Namakkal
More Officers Receive New Postings
Neel Sharma has been posted as ASP, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi, while K Nehaa will serve as ASP, Ramanathapuram.
Priyanka Bhargava has been posted as ASP, Nagapattinam, and Rahul V Gopal as ASP, Thiruvannamalai Rural.
Saindane Swapnila Anil has been posted as ASP, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar.
Madurai Gets Two New Assignments
Tanoo Singh has been posted as ASP, Oomachikulam, Madurai.
Ashish Puniya, who was serving as ASP, Karaikudi, has been transferred and posted as ASP, Anna Nagar Range, Madurai.
Focus on Strengthening Field Policing
The latest reshuffle gives young IPS officers greater exposure to law and order, crime prevention, investigation and coordination with local administration.
