In a key administrative reshuffle, the Karnataka government has transferred four IAS officers, bringing changes across important departments such as Health, Revenue, Labour, and Skill Development.

At the centre of this reshuffle is Manoj Kumar Meena (IAS:2003:KN), who has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. Previously serving as Secretary in the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Meena now takes on a crucial role in the state’s health administration.

In addition to his new position, Meena has also been given charge of the Revenue Department, which includes key areas such as Disaster Management, Stamps and Registration, and Social Security—making his role even more significant in the administrative setup.

Senior officer Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey (IAS:1998:KN), who was serving as Principal Secretary in the Revenue Department, has been shifted from his position as part of the reshuffle. He will now take on a new role under the revised administrative arrangement.

Another notable change is the transfer of Harsh Gupta (IAS:1997:KN), who has been relieved from his post as Principal Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department. As of now, he has not been assigned a new posting.

Meanwhile, Salma K Fahim (IAS:2006:KN), currently serving as Secretary in the Labour Department, has been given additional charge of the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood. She will now handle dual responsibilities following the reshuffle.

The key changes include:

  • Manoj Kumar Meena → Health Secretary + Revenue Department charge
  • Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey → Shifted from Revenue Department
  • Harsh Gupta → Removed from Health Department, awaiting posting
  • Salma K Fahim → Additional charge of Skill Development

Officials say the reshuffle is part of an ongoing effort to streamline governance and improve coordination across departments. With experienced officers taking on new responsibilities, the move is expected to strengthen policy execution and administrative efficiency in the state.

As Karnataka continues to realign its bureaucratic structure, such changes reflect a focus on responsive governance and better delivery of public services across key sectors.
