The Haryana government has carried out a fresh bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect. The latest round of postings is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring optimal utilisation of officers across key departments.
Ravi Prakash Gupta, IAS (HY:2007), currently serving as Commissioner, Hisar Division, has been given additional charge as Secretary to the Government of Haryana, Urban Estate Department. The posting has been made against a vacant position, significantly expanding his responsibilities while he continues as Hisar Commissioner.
Anshaj Singh, IAS (HY:2008), who is presently Director General, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department and Secretary to the state government, has been appointed Advisor, Civil Aviation, Haryana, along with additional charge as Secretary, Civil Aviation Department. He takes over the role from Narhari Singh Bangar, IAS (HY:2011).
In another key move, Vikram, IAS (HY:2014), has been appointed Managing Director, Haryana Minerals Limited (HML), New Delhi. He will continue as Managing Director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVN) but has been relieved of the additional charge of Managing Director, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL).
Virender Lather, IAS (HY:2014), currently serving as District Municipal Commissioner, Ambala, and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ambala, has been posted as Special Secretary to the Government of Haryana, Grievances Department, in addition to his existing duties. The posting has also been made against a vacant post.
Sachin Gupta, IAS (HY:2018), who is Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak, has been assigned additional responsibilities as Additional Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, and Managing Director, HSMITC. He will continue in his role as Deputy Commissioner.
Similarly, Aparajita, IAS (HY:2018), presently Deputy Commissioner, Kaithal, has been appointed Additional Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department, and Director, IT, Electronics and Communication, Haryana, while continuing as Deputy Commissioner.
In a related administrative clarification, the state government announced that the post of Managing Director, Haryana Minerals Limited, New Delhi, will be treated as equivalent to a Senior Scale IAS post under the IAS (Pay) Rules, 2016.
The reshuffle reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to realign administrative leadership across departments handling urban development, infrastructure, technology, power and public service delivery.
