Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has launched an AI-based digital platform titled ‘Haryana Budget Janbhagidari’, aimed at involving citizens directly in shaping the state’s annual budget.

The portal allows residents, subject experts and stakeholder groups to submit suggestions and ideas on budget priorities through a user-friendly, multilingual interface. Officials said the initiative is designed to make the budgeting process more inclusive and transparent by giving people a formal channel to share their views before key financial decisions are finalised.

The platform uses artificial intelligence tools to categorise, analyse and summarise the large volume of feedback received, helping government departments review public inputs efficiently and identify major themes and concerns.

State officials said the system will also support data-driven decision-making by mapping suggestions across sectors such as health, education, agriculture, infrastructure and social welfare.

A senior government official said, “The Janbhagidari portal is an effort to bring citizens closer to the budgeting process and ensure that public priorities are reflected in policy planning.”

With the portal now live, the Haryana government has begun collecting public feedback, which will be considered while preparing the upcoming state budget, strengthening digital governance and participatory policymaking in the state.
