The Rajasthan government has launched the Rajasthan Artificial Intelligence–Machine Learning (AI-ML) Policy 2026, marking a major step towards integrating artificial intelligence into public administration and service delivery.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma unveiled the policy along with the National AI Literacy Programme, which aims to spread awareness and build practical AI skills among students, government employees and young professionals across the state.
Officials said the new policy focuses on the ethical, transparent and practical use of AI technologies in government functioning. It seeks to introduce AI-driven solutions in areas such as public service delivery, urban governance, health, education, agriculture and citizen grievance redressal.
The AI-ML Policy 2026 also lays emphasis on building a strong talent pipeline by encouraging skill development, research partnerships and collaboration with educational institutions and technology firms. The literacy programme will introduce basic and advanced AI training modules to help prepare a future-ready workforce.

A senior official associated with the initiative said, “The policy provides a structured framework for adopting AI in governance while ensuring that its use remains responsible, transparent and citizen-centric.”
With the policy now in place, the state government plans to begin pilot projects across departments and expand AI-driven applications in phases, positioning Rajasthan as an emerging hub for responsible and technology-led governance.
