The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has opened registrations for the Janta Awaas Yojana 2025, under which 741 affordable flats will be made available for eligible applicants from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category in the national capital.

The initiative aims to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to residents with limited incomes, helping improve housing access and quality of life for low-income families in Delhi. Prospective applicants can now register through the DDA’s official portal, where detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria and application procedures have been made available.

Officials said the scheme has been structured to ensure transparency, ease of application and broad participation. The allotment process will follow prescribed norms to give eligible EWS applicants a fair chance to secure housing under the programme.

The Janta Awaas Yojana has been one of DDA’s key affordable housing initiatives, designed to support urban residents who may otherwise find it difficult to enter the housing market in the city due to high property costs.

A DDA spokesperson said, “Opening registrations for the 2025 scheme reflects our commitment to expanding affordable housing and providing citizens from economically weaker sections an opportunity to own a home in Delhi.”

Interested applicants are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and complete their registration online before the deadline. Allocations will be made following the closure of the registration window, with further announcements expected on the allotment process and timeline.
