The IndiaAI Mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra’s AI and Agritech Innovation Center, has invited global submissions for a compendium documenting the real-world impact of artificial intelligence in agriculture. The initiative is supported by the World Bank and Wadhwani AI.
The call seeks deployed and scalable AI use cases that improve crop planning, farm operations, market access and financial resilience for farmers, particularly in emerging and developing economies. Selected entries will form part of a compendium aimed at policymakers, agritech leaders and development partners to enable cross-country and cross-sector learning on applied agricultural AI solutions.
According to the announcement, the compendium will cover areas such as climate- and market-aligned crop planning, precision agriculture, soil health and pest prediction, irrigation optimisation, farm-to-market linkages, price forecasting, quality grading, traceability, digital marketplaces, AI-led credit assessment and parametric insurance.
Innovators, researchers and practitioners whose submissions are selected will contribute chapters to the publication, which is scheduled to be unveiled at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 to be held from February 15 to 20, 2026 at the Bharat Mandapam.
