Telangana & Google

Google and the Government of Telangana on Tuesday announced the launch of the Google for Startups Hub at T-Hub in Hyderabad. It is the first Google-branded startups hub to be launched as part of Telangana’s incubation and innovation ecosystem.

The Hub was inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu. The initiative aims to support AI-first startups, build talent, and connect founders to international markets.

As part of the programme, Google will engage startups from Telangana through year-long, free dedicated coworking seats for selected AI-first startups and provide access to a curated network of venture investors. The Hub is part of the global Google for Startups network and will support founders from early-stage ideas to scaling AI-led businesses in India and overseas.

The facility will offer physical infrastructure, mentoring, AI expertise, and access to Google teams across AI/ML, product, user experience, and go-to-market strategies. Support will also be extended to women entrepreneurs, innovators from Tier-2 cities, and university-linked startups. The Hub will include networking zones and event spaces for workshops, market access programmes, and community engagements.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the partnership would help build a globally competitive innovation ecosystem in Telangana and enable startups originating in Hyderabad to scale to global markets.

IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the collaboration would expand the state’s innovation ecosystem by providing founders with tools, mentorship, and platforms to scale and compete internationally.

Preeti Lobana, Country Manager, Google India, said the partnership would bring Google’s startup support stack to Telangana, including AI capabilities on Google Cloud and access to Android, Play, Ads, and developer programmes.

Ragini Das, Head of Google for Startups India, said the collaboration between government, ecosystem enablers, and industry would help startups scale faster and more responsibly.

Officials said the launch reflects Telangana’s policy focus on integrating technology, talent, and global partnerships, with an emphasis on enabling innovators from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Telangana hosts platforms such as T-Hub, AI City, and T-Works, along with over 400 global innovation centres across sectors including deep-tech, enterprise technology, and life sciences.
