The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved development works worth ₹10,630 crore, with major allocations for road infrastructure, farmer services, higher education and disaster preparedness. The decisions were taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav.
Road connectivity remained a major focus of the Cabinet meeting, with approval given for several important road projects, including the six-laning of the Eastern Bhopal Bypass.
Major Road Projects Get Approval
The Cabinet cleared development of several key road corridors across Madhya Pradesh.
The approved projects include:
- Eastern Bhopal Bypass – to be widened to six lanes
- Bhopal–Vidisha road
- Khalghat–Manawar route
- Mandsaur–Sitamau–Basai–Suwasra route
The projects are expected to improve connectivity between important towns and economic centres while supporting smoother movement of traffic and regional development.
Farmers to Get Four Times Land Value
The Cabinet also approved a mutual-consent mechanism for land acquisition.
Under the arrangement, farmers who voluntarily agree to provide their land for projects will receive four times the value of the acquired land immediately.
The measure is aimed at making the acquisition process more transparent and helping infrastructure projects move ahead more efficiently.
CM Mohan Yadav Reviews Rainfall Situation
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reviewed the situation arising from unusual rainfall in different parts of the state.
Officials have been directed to prepare relief and rescue plans for districts receiving excessive rainfall. At the same time, advance plans will be prepared for areas experiencing comparatively lower rainfall.
The objective is to enable district administrations to respond quickly to changing weather conditions and provide timely assistance.
₹250 Additional Assistance for Ladli Behna Beneficiaries
The Chief Minister also announced an additional ₹250 transfer to the accounts of Ladli Behna beneficiaries on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
The additional assistance is part of the state government’s continued financial support for women beneficiaries.
Farmer ID Registration to Reach Villages
The government has also stepped up efforts to complete Farmer ID registration.
The registration process began on August 20, and officials have been asked to reach farmers directly in villages to help complete the process.
The state is also preparing to introduce fertiliser booking through WhatsApp, which is intended to make access to fertiliser more convenient for farmers.
Dhanwantri University Gets Cabinet Support
The Cabinet approved posts for Dhanwantri University in Ujjain along with various proposals related to science and technology.
The decisions are aimed at strengthening higher education and supporting technology-focused development in the state.
32 Madhya Pradesh Athletes Congratulated
During the meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated 32 athletes from Madhya Pradesh who will represent India at the Asian Games.
He also highlighted Vibhor Jain from Vidisha for meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the achievement as a matter of pride for the state.
Focus on Infrastructure and Public Services
The Cabinet decisions cover several areas, including road infrastructure, land acquisition, agriculture, women’s welfare, disaster management, higher education and technology.
