Anurag Srivastava, a 1992-batch IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, has been honoured with the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2023. He has been recognised in the Innovation State category for integrating solar power into Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Uttar Pradesh.

The announcement was conveyed by V. Srinivas, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Personnel, to Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. Srinivas lauded Srivastava’s innovative approach to implementing solar-powered water schemes, which have set a benchmark for sustainable and efficient resource utilization under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
This award underscores Srivastava’s dedication to fostering innovation and his commitment to excellence in public administration. His initiatives have contributed significantly to sustainable development and resource optimization, aligning with the mission’s goals.
