The Government of Chhattisgarh has carried out a significant administrative reshuffle, impacting the portfolios of nine IAS officers and three IFS officers. According to a circular from the General Administration Department, Rajat Kumar (2005-batch IAS), who recently returned from central deputation, has been appointed as Secretary of Commerce and Industry. Kumar had previously served in the Raman Singh administration.
Richa Sharma (1994-batch IAS), formerly Additional Chief Secretary for Forests, will now also manage the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Rights departments in her new role.
P. Dayanand (2006-batch IAS), who was serving as Secretary to the Chief Minister, will be relieved from his additional responsibilities in the Commerce, Industry (Railway Projects), and Aviation departments.
Ankit Anand (2006 batch), previously Secretary of Commerce and Industry, has been reassigned to head the Planning, Economy, and Statistics Department while also taking on additional responsibilities as Secretary of Housing, Environment, and Pollution Control. Basavraju S, the Chief Minister’s Secretary, will also oversee the Aviation Department.
Bheem Singh (2008 batch) has been appointed Secretary of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Other IAS officers affected by the reshuffle include Rajesh Singh Rana, Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Jitendra Kumar Shukla, and Prabhat Malik.

The reshuffle also involves IFS officers Arun Prasad P (2006 batch), Vishwesh Kumar (2007 batch), and Vivek Acharay (2006 batch).
