Rakesh Kumar Singh Receives One-Year Extension as Additional Secretary in MHA

In a recent development, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, an accomplished civil servant belonging to the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) batch of 1993, currently holding the position of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has been granted an extension to his central deputation tenure. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an official order on Saturday, November 25, 2023, announcing this significant decision.


The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has accorded its approval for the extension of Mr. Singh’s deputation tenure by an additional one year. This extension comes into effect from December 8, 2023, onwards, and will remain in force until further orders are issued or an earlier date, if applicable.
