Lalit Jain Assumes Role as Director of Census Operations and Citizen Registration in Haryana

Lalit Jain, an IAS officer of 2011 batch of Himachal Pradesh cadre has been appointed as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for the state of Haryana. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an official order on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, granting formal approval to Mr. Jain’s appointment under the central staffing scheme.
Effective from the date Lalit Jain assumes office, his tenure in this key role will span until December 31, 2025, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs first. This appointment highlights Mr. Jain’s new and crucial responsibilities, which involve overseeing census operations and citizen registration processes within the state of Haryana.
