The Government of India issued official orders to appoint Manoj Ahuja as Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The Appointment’s Committee of the Cabinet, on February 8, approved the orders for Ahuja’s appointment to the Agriculture Ministry.

As per the orders, the 1990-Batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre, Ahuja, will join the Ministry as Officer on Special Duty with immediate effect. However, he will assume the post of Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare on March 31 after the incumbent Secretary Sanjay Agarwal superannuates.
