The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, on February 11, approved the Centre’s request to appoint Dr Shalia Shah (IFS:2012) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Higher Education, New Delhi.
As per the orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Dr Shah, a 2012-Batch IFS officer, will be serving the newly assigned charge for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She has been given the post under the Central Staffing Scheme and her tenure begins from the date of assuming the charge.
