Ashok Kumar Jayapal, an IAS officer of 2008-Batch, has been assigned the charge of Director in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), on February 11, following the approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
As per the Centre’s order, Jayapal will be holding the new post for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever earlier. Further, he has been appointed the charge of Director in DoPT under the Centra Staffing Scheme, read the orders.
