Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman is to launch the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) today at New Delhi.

The NMP comprises a four-year pipeline of the Government of India’s brownfield infrastructure assets. Apart from extending visibility to investors, the NMP will also pose a medium-term blueprint for the Centre’s Asset Monetisation initiative.

The Union Budget 2021-22, announced by Sitharaman, laid much emphasis on Asseational Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) t Monetisation as a medium to raise innovative and alternative financing for infrastructure. Also, it included a number of other key announcements as well.

On this occasion, the Finance Minister will roll out the National Monetisation Pipeline book in the presence of Dr Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog; Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog; and Secretaries of the relevant ministries.
