4 IAS transferred in Maharashtra, Saumya Sharma Chandak made Amravati Municipal Commissioner

The Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, led by Devendra Fadnavis, has announced another round of key bureaucratic transfers, underlining a continued trend of administrative reshuffling that has marked its second term. On Tuesday, four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers were transferred, following a similar move just days earlier involving eight senior officials.

  • Parag Soman, a 2014 batch promotee IAS officer and outgoing Chief Executive Officer of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), Thane, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Wardha.

  • Saumya Sharma Chandak, a 2018 batch IAS officer and former CEO of Nagpur Smart City, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Amravati Municipal Corporation.

  • Sachin Kalantre, a 2014 batch promotee IAS officer and the outgoing Commissioner of Amravati Municipal Corporation, has been transferred as Deputy Director General at Yashada, Pune, the state’s apex training institute for administration.

  • Jithin Rahman, a 2020 batch IAS officer currently serving as CEO, Zilla Parishad, Wardha, will now assume charge as CEO, Zilla Parishad, Beed.
