The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) nodded to in-situ up-gradation of five IAS officers to the rank of Special Secretary by temporarily raising their posts in the respective ministries and departments.

1. Praveen Garg (IAS 1988-Batch) has been promoted to the post of Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).

2. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu (IAS 1988-Batch) currently serving as Chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), has been promoted to the rank of Secretary by upgrading the post to the Secretary level.

   
   

3. Anjali Bhawara (IAS 1988-Batch) has been promoted to the post of Special Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MoCA). Her present post of Additional Secretary has been temporarily upgraded to the rank of Secretary (MoCA).

4. Jatindra Nath Swain (lAS 1988-Batch) presently holding the post of Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd, got his post temporarily promoted to the rank of Secretary.

   
   

5. Anil Kumar Jha (IAS 1988-Batch) has been promoted as Special Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. His present post of Additional Secretary has been temporarily upgraded.
