Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, on July 14, will lay the foundation stone of Pataudi-Rewari National Highway. The Pataudi-Rewari National Highway project include the construction of a 7 km-long Pataudi bypass which is expected to reduce congestion in the Pataudi town. The 46 km highway is a project worth Rs 1500 crore, said Rao Inderjit Singh, Union Minister for State and Gurugram MP.

As per Singh, due to land acquisition issues the project was halted for a long time. However, now the land needed for the road has been acquired, thus the contraction work is all set to begin. “The project will significantly improve Gurugram and Rewari connectivity and ease commuting,” he said.

The entire 46 km highway will have two flyovers, one overbridge and three interchange connections, allowing people to exit the road or enter with convenience at various points, said officials. Further, it will include the construction of a bypass road which has now become a need for the people there lower down the traffic congestion.
