The government of Bahrain has launched its e-government strategy and unveiled a new e-services portal, www.e.gov.bh.
More than 2,000 people visited Bahrain’s e-government website, within 12 hours of its launch.
Bahrain has allocated BD22 million to develop its eGovernment services in next three years.
The Australian Federal Government will spend $42 million to update its website, so that Internet users can create their personalised accounts.

Janadhar is the e-Governance initiative of the government of Uttarakhand. Started in March 2005, the initiative was taken up with funding from the UNDP and technicalguidance by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT).
