Bahrain’s e-Government website hits with the people

More than 2,000 people visited Bahrain's e-government website, within 12 hours of its launch.

More than 2,000 people visited Bahrain's e-government website, within 12 hours of its launch.

The 13 pages of the website www.e.gov.bh was navigated by more than 784 visitors for nearly 20 to 60 minutes and 75 people scanned it for more than three minutes. Around 32 percent of the visitors were from government ministries and 47 percent from Batelco Internet subscribers. People from all over the world, including New Zealand, Australia, Alaska, and the US, have accessed the website. According to the Director General of Information Technology at the Central Informatics Organisation, Mohammed Al Qaed, three teams in-charge of layout, design and content had created the website according to international standards.
