The Australian Federal Government will spend $42 million to update its website, so that Internet users can create their personalised accounts.

Users would be able to create an account and log in to australia.gov.au to access federal government services. While announcing the changes, Special Minister of State Gary Nairn said that this initiative will put Australia at the forefront of international e-Government development.
