Bahrain has allocated BD22 million to develop its eGovernment services in next three years.

eGovernment will increase the fund from the current 28 to 167 by the end of 2009. The Government has also unveiled the eGovernment Strategy and new national portal accessible at www.e.gov.bh. Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shaikh Ahmed bin Ateyatalla Al Khalifa launched the Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Award for the best eGovernment site. The prize would be given in three categories, the best government site, the best developed government site and the best government project.
