Karnataka Government Reshuffles 7 IPS Officers, Shantanu Sinha Appointed DIGP, CID

In a significant reshuffle, the Karnataka government has reassigned seven IPS officers to new positions. Shantanu Sinha, from the 2009 batch, has been appointed as DIGP of the Criminal Investigation Department. G. Sangeetha, a 2014 batch officer, will serve as SP, CID. Laxman Nimbargi, also from the 2014 batch, is the new SP of Vijaypura.


Chennabasavanna Langoti (2013 batch) has taken over as Director of the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysuru, while Abdul Ahad (2012 batch) has been named Director of Security and Vigilance for the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. Pruthvik Shankar, from the 2018 batch, is the new SP of Yadgiri, and Shivanshu Rajput (2019 batch) will serve as SP of the State Crime Record Bureau in Bengaluru.
