Sanjay Kaul, IAS officer from Kerala cadre has been appointed as the Secretary to Department of Ports, Government of Kerala. He has also been given the additional charge as Managing Director, Kerala State Industrial Corporation (KSIDC).
Kaul is also the Chairman of several PSUs in like Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON), Travancore Cochin Cements Ltd (TCC) and SAIL-SCL.
He is on the Board of Directors of various companies like Kerala State Industrial Corporation, Kerala Minerals & Metals Ltd, BRAHMOS, Indian Rare Earths Ltd and Premier Tyres Ltd. Kaul has also served as the Commissioner of Tourism, Gujarat.
Kaul is also involved in the Ease of Doing Business initiative of Government of India and was instrumental in implementing this in Kerala, which is among the first states in the country to pass legislation in this regards.
