V Thiruppugazh, a 1991 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, has been appointed as Advisor (Joint Secretary level) in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). He has been appointed for a period of five years. Currently, he is serving in his State cadre.
Thiruppugazh will take over from Neelkamal Darbari, who is a 1987 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, and had completed her central deputation tenure on Aug 31, 2015.
